miss Emily Suing
owner/director & instructor
Miss Emily is a native of Lincoln and has been dancing since the age of three. She has studied tap, ballet, jazz, pointe, hip hop, lyrical, modern, cheer and dance team. Emily has performed in Disneyland, Disney World, New York City and various other cities across the United States with an award winning dance troupe as well as with the University of Nebraska-Lincoln Dance Program. She has also toured the country teaching dance conventions. She graduated with honors and highest distinction from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln in May 2003 with a BFA in Dance. A dance teacher since the age of 15, Emily's dream was to open a dance studio of her own. In September of 2003 realizing this dream, she opened Starstruck Dance Academy. Emily is proud to have earned best choreography accolades at numerous dance competitions and enjoys watching her dancers compete and perform in various venues. In her spare time when she is not dancing, Emily enjoys being a member of P.E.O. and spending time with family and friends, traveling and going to concerts. Emily enjoys seeing her students succeed with self-confidence and sharing her love of dance with others in a positive learning environment. Emily is excited for year 24!
miss riley

Miss Riley has been dancing at Starstruck since she was 3 years old. She loves every style of dance, but tap is her favorite. She was a member of the Starstruck Competitive team for 11 years. Riley is a first year high school science teacher! Riley is a Type 1 Diabetic, who is a passionate advocate for all those living with this disease. Dancing momentarily takes Riley to a world free from T1D. She can't imagine her life without dance. Riley is excited to share her love of dance with her students again this year!
MISS kaitlyn
INSTRUCTOR, ASSISTANT & STARS PERFORMING TEAM COACH
Miss Kaitlyn was born and raised in Lincoln, Nebraska, where she grew up competing in dance, gymnastics, and cheerleading. She was a member of the Lincoln Southeast Shirettes dance team and performed in local productions, including The Nutcracker and Pinewood Bowl.
She earned her Bachelor's degree in Forensic Science from UNL while teaching dance at Starstruck for 10 years. She then followed her dream of performing professionally by moving to Orlando, Florida, where she spent four years dancing at Walt Disney World and participating in shows, parades, workshops, and special events at both Disney and Universal Studios!
Now back in Lincoln, she is attending SCC to pursue a degree in Radiologic Technology. She is excited to be home with her family—and her dance family—and can't wait to be back in the studio teaching dancers of all ages and coaching the Stars Performing Team!
MISS LAUREN
INSTRUCTOR, ASSISTANT & STARS PERFORMING TEAM COACH
Miss Lauren is originally from Hastings, NE, but moved to Lincoln in 2014. She is currently taking online classes at UNK to study early childhood education. Outside of being a dance teacher, Miss Lauren is also a preschool teacher at Mercy City Church. She danced for 15 years, 7 of those being competitive dance. This will be her 8th year at Starstruck! Miss Lauren has taken classes in ballet, lyrical, pointe, and tap. She is excited to share her love and passion for dance as she teaches classes this year!!
MISS SKYLAR
INSTRUCTOR & ASSISTANT
Miss Skylar is from Omaha, Nebraska and started dancing at Dance Inspiration at the age of four. She is trained in the styles of tap, jazz, ballet, pointe, hip-hop, lyrical, clogging, and modern. She was a member of their competition clogging team, Nebraska Pride Cloggers/D.I Excite, as well as their Company, and assisted tap and clogging classes throughout high school. She currently attending the University of Nebraska-Lincoln to study Dance and Fashion Merchandising where she gets to travel to dance conferences and learn from many talented educators and peers. She is also the President of UNL's dance club, Orchesis, where she teaches dance to college students as well! Skylar is so excited to continue teaching at Starstruck this season and is grateful to have the opportunity to share her love of dance to her students!
MISS MEG

Miss Meg is a senior at UNL studio community health and wellness on the track to start nursing school next year. She has been teaching at Starstruck for 3 years now and this year began coaching the Stars competition team. She started dancing when she was three. Meg grew up on an acreage with no other siblings, just her parents and some animals!
As well as teaching dance and school, Meg bartends, is a CNA and also a nannies during the week. Some of her favorite things to do are cooking, cleaning, shopping, movie nights, going to concerts, and traveling. Her favorite color is pink! In her free time, she loves to get her nails done and do lots of self care things. Meg is excited for this coming year at Starstruck!
MISS BEKAH

Bekah has been dancing since she was two years old. Growing up, she took any opportunity she could to perform on a stage, from her studio's competitive team to her school's musicals. Over the past few years, Bekah has loved teaching and assisting a variety of classes in ballet, contemporary, lyrical, pointe, and jazz. She is currently wrapping up her studies at the University of Nebraska Lincoln and will graduate this December with her degree in Dance, alongside Advertising and Public Relations.
Her biggest goal is to share her passion for dance and help students find their own path. Bekah focuses on creating an environment that encourages growth, offering her knowledge and support without ever forcing it. She knows her students are much more than just dancers. Every dancer walks through the door with a different story, and Bekah is here to provide a space where that story fits.

Laura is excited for her fifth year of teaching with Starstruck Dance Academy and her twelfth year of taking classes. She enjoys teaching Irish and ballet, as well as any others she gets the opportunity to try; and loves taking classes for all styles of dance. Laura also loves dancing with the award winning adult competition team, entering their fifth year! She was formerly the instructor, choreographer and show director for the Lincoln Irish Dancers. Laura also does competitive Irish dance as well as competes in masters track and field meets. In her spare time she loves to travel, create video projects, watch football and chill with her nine kitties.
miss Breanne

Miss Breanne grew up dancing at Starstruck and was a part of the competition team for 7 years. This is Breanne’s 11th year at Starstruck and 7th year of teaching. She is currently a student at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln where she is a member of Kappa Delta Sorority. Breanne is double majoring in Sports Media & Communications and Advertising & Public Relations. Along with that, she is also double minoring in Dance & Coaching. Her favorite styles of dance are Jazz and hip hop! Breanne can’t wait for another year of teaching here at Starstruck!

Chrissy was raised in Bellevue, Nebraska. She found her love for dance at the age of 5 years old, when she started taking a ballet class at Entenman’s Studio of Dance in Bellevue, Nebraska. From there, she studied ballet, pointe, jazz, and tap all of the way through high school. Chrissy is married to Josh, and combined they have 5 children: Gina, Trevor, Alyssa, Caleb and Claire. Chrissy works for the University of Nebraska-Lincoln as a functional IT analyst. Her family members are huge football fans, LOVE those Huskers! Chrissy has many hobbies: cooking, baking, crafting, sewing and of course dance. She loves the outdoors when it’s not freezing and spending time with her family.
MISS Addi

Miss Addi is from North Platte, Nebraska where she grew up dancing since the age of 4. She’s trained in ballet, pointe, tap, jazz, lyrical, contemporary, and pom. She was also captain on her high school competition dance team. She in her second year at UNL studying business and fashion merchandising. This is year 2 at Starstruck and she is so excited!
MISS becka

Miss Becka is a freelance theatre artist who has specialized throughout her career in impacting young children through art. She graduated from Doane University with a degree in theatre and has directed, music directed, choreographed, and designed shows such as Cinderella, James & the Giant Peach, and the Pirates of Penzance. She founded the Starr Youth Theatre in the summer of 2026, culminating her life-long dream to create a welcoming space where creativity can thrive. She is in her second year teaching musical theatre at Starstruck and cannot wait for another amazing year!
MISS mary

Miss Mary is from Moorhead, MN, moving to Lincoln in 2015. Mary danced from age 3-13, focusing on ballet, tap, and jazz. Mary has a husband (Robert) and 3 kids, Brody, Axel, and Evie. During the day, Mary works for Tabs3, a software company. Mary has danced with Starstruck in the adult ballet class for 4 years and is extremely excited to teach ballet, tap, jazz, and hip hop! Fun fact: Miss Mary can count to 10 in 5 different languages!
MISS olivia
ASSISTANT
Miss Olivia has been dancing at Starstruck since she was 5 years old, and has been on the competition team since she was 6 years old! Olivia has trained in ballet, pointe, jazz, lyrical, tap, clogging, musical theatre, and contemporary dance. Her favorite, though, is tap! Olivia was a choreographer for her 7th grade musical at Scott Middle school and has performed liturgical dance at a number of area churches. Olivia is a junior at Lincoln Southwest High School, where she is active in Marching Band, Concert Band, and Ensemble and has received Honor Roll with Distinction for her academic work. Olivia plans to study medicine when she is older and hopes to be a pediatrician when she graduates from college.
MISS Claire

Miss Claire was born in Omaha, Nebraska and lived there for 9 years before moving to Lincoln. She started dancing when she was 2 1/2 and has been dancing for 12 years, this is her 7th year at Starstruck. She has several pets, but her favorite is her dog, Stitch. She has 2 older brothers and 2 older sisters and is getting ready to be an aunt for the first time! Miss Claire is very excited to share her love of dance this year!
MISS brinna

Miss Brinna is originally from Belleville, Kansas and began dancing at age three at The Turning Pointe. She has been trained in modern, contemporary, jazz, tap, and ballet, and is now studying at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln to obtain a BA in Dance and minor in Education Studies. She is also the secretary of Orchesis, UNL’s dance club, where she gets to teach and create dance with other college students. While away from school, she works as a physical therapy technician and loves every opportunity she gets to work with the body. Brinna is so grateful for the gift of movement and can not wait to begin teaching with Starstruck Dance Academy!
MISS chloe

Miss Chloe is a Lincoln Native, and has been dancing for 15 years. Being a recent high school graduate, Miss Chloe attends SCC in Lincoln before she transfers to Kansas City, Kansas Community College to study mortuary sciences. While in school, Miss Chloe was involved in color guard, national honors society, and empty bowls pottery club at Lincoln Southeast High School. Outside of dance, Miss Chloe likes to read, bake, build legos, and play video games. This is her first year teaching and she is very excited to be joining the team!
Miss Ava

Miss Ava grew up in Missouri Valley, Iowa, where she began dancing at the age of five. She started her training in tap and ballet before expanding into jazz and hip hop as she grew older. In 2016, she moved to Eagle, Nebraska, and continued her dance education in Lincoln, where she trained in jazz and hip hop for eight years. Ava will be a junior at Wayne State College, where she is pursuing a degree in Business Management. She is actively involved on campus as a member of the Career Scholars Program and serves as a senator in the Student Senate. This is Ava’s first season with Starstruck, and she is excited to share her love of dance while encouraging and inspiring each dancer to grow in both skill and confidence.
MISS halle

Miss Halle was born in North Platte, NE and used to live in Ogallala and Grand Island, NE but currently calls Wilber, NE home for the past 10 years. Halle attends Wilber-Clationia High School as a sophomore and is an active member in her school’s FFA chapter and cheerleading team. Halle plans to major in Criminal/Forensic psychology and minor in dance and animal science after high school. Halle has been been a dancer ever since she was 7 years old and has called Starstruck home that whole time. Halle has trained in different styles of dance including ballet, tap, jazz, lyrical, and pointe. Her favorite style of dance is contemporary and she always love trying and learning new styles of dance. Halle has three younger brothers and three dogs. Halle loves meeting new people and learning new techniques to the way of life! She’s so very excited to meet all of the dancers and to create the best year. Halle is enthusiastic to see what the future holds as me being a teacher!
MISS tiffany

Miss Tiffany was born and raised in Kearney, NE. She has also lived in New York and California, but currently calls Eagle, NE home. She danced for a couple years as a child and has now taken tap, ballet, jazz, hip hop, and lyrical adult classes since starting again at Starstruck in 2019-2020. She has danced with the Starstruck adult competition team since its inception during the 2022-2023 season. Tiffany graduated from the University of Nebraska-Kearney in May 2001 with a BS in Business Administration. She currently works as a Quotation Specialist for Zola Windows and as a Substitute Teacher for District 145. In her spare time, when she is not at the studio or supporting her daughter and the Stars team, Tiffany enjoys being an advisor to the Zeta chapter of Alpha Omicron Pi, crafting, traveling, and spending time with family and friends.
